- In Device42, with the CORE licensing you are able to discover operating systems and with our Software licensing you are able to discover software, in both we will be able to give you Versions, Architecture, First Detected, Last Updated, etc. The one thing Device42 is not able to collect is End of Life/End of Service and this is something you have to manually enter. It is recommended after you discover your Operating Systems and Software, you follow the following steps to set up EOL/EOS for each specific Operating Systems and Software you want to monitor.
- In the Main Appliance, navigate to Resources.
- Under Operating Systems or Software Components, select EOL/EOS
- Click Add Operating System EOL/EOS or Software EOL/EOS
- Find the OS or Software, Add Version if needed, Set EOL or EOS or both and then Save.
