- When creating or importing Devices manually it’s important to at least note the Device Serial Number (S/N). This can and will be used to merge the discovered object with the manually entered object.
- Use case: entering or populating Devices manually from a purchase record into Device42. Later during discovery the Serial Number will be used to merge the records.
