About equipment's Depth and Pre-filling.

Hi Team.

I want to share with you some ideas how D42 could be improved.

About equipment Depth.
You made a good improvement and now even if device has been mounted, possible to change its Depth.
But, now we have a choice "Half Depth" or "Full Depth" only.
In reality even if device has the Full Depth, usually possible to install Blanking Panel (filler) on back side of this device. Sometime it's required.

Could you add in future two more Depth: "3/4 Depth" and "1/4 Depth"?
It will help to install full size device (3/4) and put filler (1/4) behind it.

Second option: "0 Depth" - it will let to setup asset (filler) behind any device.

If you accept this idea, we have to find out, how to change on production environment all Depth in one short: for example "for all fillers from current "Half Depth" to "0 Depth or 1/4 Depth). To do it manually is a huge job. :-(
I suppose it is possible to make a Bulk Operation like "Asset Name" - "New Depth", "Hardware ID" - "New Depth", etc.

Special Thank You for your designer, who made visualization of back "half depth" device in shadow and bright back for "full depth" device.
It makes view very nice looking.

Also you can bring "intelligence" into your system.
1- when we are working with cables and describe Origin Cable end, would be nice immediately automatically fill End Cable with same description. If any changes required, they could be provided on same screen in same time. It will save data entry time and minimize errors.
2- when we add any assets, and this asset's name already exist (like horizontal management, or filler panel, or any), would be nice immediately transfer Type, Vendor, Front/Back image from the existing asset. If any changes required, they could be provided on same screen in same time. It will save data entry time and minimize errors as well as in previous point.

Personal opinion.
I understand that different clients use a different techniques to make data entry and it is not easy/possible to realize all requests in one software release.
- Option with "intelligence" (see upper) could be included into Global Setting as On/Off option.
- in new version we lost option to use Vendor ID, Room ID etc. (like numbers) and have to use Search to make entry. In this case more actions required to do it (if, of course, I know ID number). I suppose it is not difficult to include the same option (like On/Off) into Global Setting to let some users make entry by new way and for some - like it was before version 17.04.

This is not a request to do it. I simple share an idea.
This is a marker "your system is good and client started to think about tiny things".
