Looking at Microsoft licensing, there are minimums that should be applied when calculating licenses for both Windows Server and MS SQL. E.g. Windows Server minimums: 2 CPUs, 8 cores per CPU, total minimum cores = 16. So if a Windows Server has 4 CPUs with 4 cores per CPU and therefore has 16 cores, you must pay for 32 cores. I don't see anywhere that this minimum can be set in a licensing model in D42.
Basically, for the D42 software licensing module to be as useful as possible we need to be able to align it easily with these Microsoft datasheets:
