Windows Discovery Scan Issue

Hello, I am trying to solve a bit of a mystery.  I am running a *Nix and a Windows discovery scan over the same IP address ranges in the discovery targets.  The *Nix scan returns data such as # of port check failures, Auth failures, success, etc.  However, on the Windows scan it notes only 0's, nothing is returned.  Even if I had no Windows servers in those ranges shouldn't I expect to at least see port check failures?
