Method To Automatically Add To Custom Field During Scans

I have a need to be able to designate servers as DMZ (Yes or No) and was wondering if there is already a way to do this based off of subnet automatically or if it could be added to the existing scans as a feature. 

I'm sure there are many other uses for automatically populating custom fields for devices that could be useful.
