Appliance manager and healthstats unresponsive during backups

We would like to use the appliance manager _healthstats_ endpoint to monitor device42's backup jobs - however this has issues today as the appliance manager may not be responsive while a backup is being run

I realize that the appliance manager today is not an indicator of the Device42 application's responsiveness or uptime and we have separate monitoring for this, but the appliance manager is the only place we could monitor the success or failure of scheduled backup jobs and if it is unresponsive this poses challenges in properly monitoring and alerting for backup status
