I think this was abandoned. It’s possible in both Cisco & Juniper especially for virtual interfaces/SVIs, but it’s probably not a priority for you right now. This would make your appliance so much “attractive” to clients. Manual layer 2 to layer 3 associations is not ideal for everything.

The current device42 implementation, i.e discovering Layer2 VLAN IDs is not really usable, as Ryan suggested VLANs need to be associated with Layer3 subnets instead.

We have added this in v12.0.0 - wherever we can find that info in the SNMP implementation of the vendor.
