Upload full-size images to asset/devices

Today I've observed that any image uploaded to asset/device for front/back is resized to ~180x80 pixels.

While I understand that this can be useful for the rack visualization and for the list view, on the other hand I do not understand why there is no way to upload a full-size picture to show some details.

It would be useful to have a mini-gallery related to an asset/device (even a rack or other type of objects like buildings, rooms, etc. ).

I'm aware that I can attach any file to asset/device but *any* means all files are treated the same, ie. I cannot have a preview for anything. I see two options here:

1. Show uploaded pictures as thumbnails (the simplest option, but less attractive from my point of view) in the list of attachments.
2. Make a new section on device/asset screen to upload images, show thumbnails with title and even with a small description. You should retain of course full-size pictures and calculate thumbnails as you do for front/back images to realize the gallery. Cheat: when you upload a picture as attachment, D42 moves it on the gallery automagically. Picture title and description should be also searchable.
