Better navigability/UX through D42 related objects
Generally speaking I feel that D42 lacks of links from view screens to navigate related objects.
I think you should reconsider the fact that it should be VERY EASY for D42 users to navigate the objects database through web links, back and forth (I mean with links pointing back to related objects I come from) without bothering with the search engine. Often I have to copy something that is displayed on a view screen on the search engine just to get a link to open the object it on its own view screen: isn't that a waste of time?
We generally use D42 this way:
- We have a piece of information we want to search
- We use the search engine with that piece of info
- We get results and start navigating the objects via web pages from there.
It should not happen that to go to a related object view page I have to search again. IMHO when there is something related there should be a link pointing to it directly in the view screen representing the object.

Hi Stefano,
Most of the objects are linked on view pages. I am sure we are missing links - can you please share some examples?
Thanks,
Raj

Hi Raj,
I've already posted some suggestions, here they are:

https://support.device42.com/entries/98989138-Show-assets-rack-info-from-Customer-view
but I'll add more when we experience some other "navigation" problems.
Apart from my suggestions, I think you should revise the entire object hierarchy of D42 compared to view screens to check if some links are missing because I can incidentally suggest something correct but you have the schema of D42 and know for sure every object how is related to others.

Yes, we are already looking at those. Generally most of the objects will be interrelated but if you find something else that is missing, please do let us know.
Thanks.
