For physical hardware, some way of correlating the HP ILOM or Dell DRAC remote management card with the physical server in the rack.

Example.  PING sweep monitors two subnets:

10.1.1.254/24

10.2.1.254.24

ILOM and DRAC units have IPs in 10.1.1.x, and servers have client connections in 10.2.1.x.  The PING sweep thinks that is two devices, but it's really one hardware chassis.

  Scott thanks for this suggestion. If you run the IPMI auto-discovery and also a Windows/Linux auto-discovery, we will make the correlation from the serial number and add it as a single device in Device42.
