Changing Device to an Asset

Could we have the option to click on changing a Device to an Asset?  When our devices are destroyed, we want to keep a history without consuming a license.  It would be nice to have a drop-down or box to click to transfer the Device to an Asset.

  This would be very useful, since devices go to our license count, and one of my auto-imports from racktables made things like non-addressable PDUs and blade chassis into devices.
