Logging and alerting

I still see a very strong need for more logging (discovery, backups, user tasks, etc) and the option to be emailed on specific events (e.g., updates, backup succes/failure, user modified, etc.)  

The discovery jobs should have a link to previous job history for some (ideally customizable) number of jobs - we don't need to see all the activity in the main page (I'm thinking of vserver - the page can be unwieldy to read, and doesn't show us a timetamp for the last job anyway). I would like a simple page for each one that lists  "job X ran on Date Time and was Successful" with a link I can click to see everything the job did.

  Hi Paula,

  Makes sense. Some of this is on the to do list already and will be addressed with notification module changes (Currently notification is only for Power module).
