Jump directly to search result

Often, when I search for a device, there is only one result in the result list. It would be great if the search jumped directly to the device when there is only one result. When there are more results, the result list should be shown as it is now.

  Looks like this is implemented, but  I was just wishing it *didn't* jump straight to the device.

  I like having the option to see the single item in a table view - easier on the eyeballs when you just want to get some basic info.

  Plus, if I want to use the actions menu at the top of the device list (the dropdown) I can't, unless i'm on the main page. My workaround is currently to type all but the last character of the device name, and then it shows me the suggestion, but I don't love that.

  We have added instant search in v5.7.1. Clicking on a result in the instant search result will take you directly to that object. http://blog.device42.com/2014/03/instant-search-tags-and-flexible-html-reports-in-v5-7-1/

  Paula,

  A quick clarification there - the old functionality is still there. If you click search(or press enter) after typing few characters - or full name, you still get the list. So you still have actions menu available :). Let us know if I understood you correctly and if that answers your question.

  I think this is a great solution. It fulfills my need, while preserving the old functionality for the people who wants it that way.
