Firewall Configuration

It would be nice to have a section for firewalls. This would include details like ACLs, ACEs, NAT (IP nat does provide this) and IPSEC Tunnel Information. It'd be nice to track site-to-site tunnels through this interface. Also a section to dump the config (or even an attachment).

If there was the ability to add an attachment(s) would be an ideal feature. For instance, adding of PDF of the contract to the contracts section. Or pictures that do not get resized after uploading.

  Armar,

  Ability to track firewall details as your mentioned is a good idea and we would discuss it more internally.

  File attachment for contracts: This is on our list already.

  Images that don't get resized: Image resizing was introduced in v311 to make page rendering fast for the rack layout display. While we don't have plans to change that logic, we can definitely look into adding another section if this is a useful (and popular) requirement.  Could you please walk us through some example screnarios where full size images might be useful?

  Disregard my comment. I wanted to add a floor plan to the Building view. I tried it and it did not resize the picture. Perfect.

  I did want to re-address my comment on attachments. My use case was for those of us managing multiple locations. In my case we manage 200+ locations. It would be nice to have this solution be used to store/manage site surveys. In this instance, having the ability to upload pictures of the rack/room/jack/device/etc. of the customer site. It would ease in troubleshooting a problem or just for documentation purposes. A picture of a 66-block with the tagged lines would be an example. I can expand on this if needed.

  We are looking into these. We are initially planning to add ability to add file attachments for contracts, device and application components in device42. Your point makes sense and we would keep this in mind as we are exploring some options for file attachments and see how we can make this scale-able for other objects as well.
