Off-site replica/backup

Is there any method for creating an automatic off-site replica/backup of device42?

The best I've found so far is to do the scheduled backups and replicate these backups somewhere offsite while having a standby device42 appliance on standby and updated to accept the restore -- manually.  Is there any licensing concern in this situation?

  Hi Doug,

  That is the right method. Each license gives you right to have another instance running for exactly that purpose. So basically, you can have another instance running for backup/disaster recovery purposed on the same license key.

  Since the appliance is Linux, it seems it would be a cool feature to setup the active VM to send it's backups (with some sort of pruning to keep things in check) to the DR/passive node. When necessary, log into the DR/passive node and tell it to become active which would automagically restore the latest backup data.
