In this section, we would add any common error messages and quick resolutions or workarounds for those. Please suggest any messges you need help with and we will add those here. Thanks.
Error Occured! Please contact support. Error Message: No section: 'passphrase'
Seen under Device > Passwords. This means you have not assigned a passphrase yet for encrypting the passwords. This happens when you do a restore and try to show a password. Restore doesn't have passphrases for password and backup encryption and also Active Directory information, so this needs to be entered prior to or after the restore.
Passphrase for passwords can be entered under Tools > Options > Password Security.
Error Occured! Please contact support. Error Message: bad decrypt
Seen under Device > Passwords. This might happen after a restore and if you enter a wrong passphrase for the passwords(under Tools > Options > Password Security). There is no way to change the passphrase once entered. You can spin up a new virtual, do the restore and make sure to enter the right passphrase used to encrypt the passwords.
Please Enter Hardware Model with defined size for Device First.
This message is seen when adding a physical device to a rack. Any device that can be added to a rack has to have a defined hardware model first. Go to Data Center > Hardware, add the hardware model with its size in Us. Then when adding/editing a device, make sure to pick this hardware as the hardware model and then you would be able to add this device to a rack without any issues. All this can be done using popup menus as well when adding a new device in the rack.
invalid literal for int() with base 10: '::'.
As seen in Bulk IP Operations. This happens when bulk adding IPv4 addresses and the subnet choosen is IPv6 range. Bulk IP operations are only supported for IPv4 and would fail for IPv6 networks. Please choose IPv4 subnet(with IPv4 start and end range).
Error: This happened : list index out of range.
When adding an active directory administrator, you might get this message.
This is because we only support search for exact Active Directory username for now. If you try to search by first name, last name etc., it would give this error back.
So in "User to be Added" box, please enter exact active directory username.
