Microsoft SQL Server Edition/SKU
I've recently completed a Microsoft true up exercise, for a large organisation (~3,000 servers) and made heavy use of Device42 reports. One of the most time consuming parts of the activity was figuring out the installed editions of Microsoft SQL Server. Device42 gives some really good information in the reports, including the compatibility level of the databases, but the SKU doesn't seem to be included. Without it I end up with a list of every server with anything "SQL Server" installed, and then I have to de-dupe the data, exclude SQL Express and Compact Editions. The some servers will not show which edition is installed, and I have to manually query each one to figure it.
It would be very useful if in the discovery there is an option to query the SQL SKU using WMI, and have that explicitly labelled on the server somewhere.

Karl,
Thank you for the feature request.
It is in line with what we are already planning to do.
If ok, with you, we would like to run by you the plan we have and get your feedback.
When would be a good time for us to sync ?

Samir and Karl,
I am new to Device42 and looking to do this exact reporting. Has this solution been worked out?
Thanks!
