Certain operating systems and applications are licensed based upon the physical host and allow for either a specific number or unlimited number of virtual machines or instances running on that physical host.

 

A way to track this would be awesome.

  We're running into this issue too.  We have many Remote site that are licensed via Remote Office / Branch Office Licensing which it licensed via 25 running VMs.  And there is no good way to leverage Device 42 to track this.
