Release Summary 14.7.2

We are excited to announce general availability of v14.7.2 with the following changes:

OpenVMS and Solaris autodiscovery using telnet

• We added support for discovering Solaris and OpenVMS systems via telnet. This is applicable if Device42 is not able to connect via SSH. Discovery via telnet can be enabled by checking the Use telnet if SSH port is closed and then entering the relevant Telnet Port (usually port 23).

SSH key support for autodiscoveries

• You can now use SSH keys instead of passwords for auto-discovery. To utilize SSH key file, uncheck Use Password checkbox in the password edit screen and select a Key File to use.

Device API

• We have added the filters device_sub_type and device_sub_type_id to all device APIs so that you can filter by the appropriate device sub-type.

e.g.:

• curl -X GET -u 'admin:adm!nd42' https://yourdevice42address/api/1.0/devices/all/?device_sub_type=PDU –insecure

Bug Fixes

• SNMP autodiscovery of IBM Flex not creating device for default chassis name. Fixed.
• Lenovo warranty sync was not adding extended warranties. Fixed.
• Autodiscovery of Cisco 4500 not importing missing serial number. Fixed.
• Autodiscovery of Dell Compellent storage array not associating external drive enclosures. Fixed.
• Switch impact chart does not retain filter when a device is expanded. Fixed.
• Asset lifecycle API may fail if using asset filter. Fixed.
• HP 3PAR storage SNMP discovery fails to import devices. Fixed.
